Robert Hughes, Bangor, secures role on construction site

Robert enrolled with Môn CF for support with CV building and job searching as he had very little access to a computer. On his initial appointment, Robert expressed that he was unsure as to what career he would like to embark upon after leaving his last job. Various working industries were discussed with his mentor, along with training courses and other opportunities available. Reflecting on his previous experience, Robert decided he would like to focus on finding work in the cleaning industry, potentially progressing onto construction work.

During appointments with his mentor, Katie, job searches were completed and several cleaning jobs applied for. Within just a few weeks, Robert was offered an interview with Celtic Royal Cleaning. Following successful interview, he was offered the cleaning job on a construction site. This met both of Robert’s goals with it being a cleaning job, but based on a construction site with further opportunities to progress in the future. Once Robert has settled into his role, he will continue to work with his mentor and the training team to obtain a CSCS Labourer’s card.

Robert said, “I enjoy coming to work every day, I’m really enjoying it. Working with Môn CF was a pleasure, I felt as if I was in good hands the whole way through to getting a job.”
