Over the years we have delivered projects that range from community fund raisers to social groups and gatherings.
Our aim is to listen to the community and put their needs first.
Môn CF People's Health Trust Community Chest Fund

The People’s Health Trust Community Chest Fund is a round of funding made available to support community groups and organisations benefitting the people of Holyhead.
The grants are made available to provide financial support that many community groups need to thrive.
By empowering local people, we can help groups and organisations be more active in their community. Providing the funding they need helps groups source essential equipment, fund their activities, and support individuals in their community.
Grants for 2023/24 are now available and applications can be made now.

Local Conversation
Holyhead’s Local Conversation is funded by the People’s Health Trust and is always on the lookout for support and welcomes the residents of Holyhead to actively participate in the conversations happening around three priority areas:

Additionally, the project offers residents the opportunity to become members of the Community Chest Grants Panel, and the Local Conversations Steering Group.

Môn Multiply
Môn Multiply is a new initiative that helps adults on Anglesey improve their numeracy skills.
Môn CF is delivering Môn Multiply projects across the region to help individuals develop new Skills for Life!
If you're aged 19 and over and don't have a GCSE Maths at Grade C (or equivalent) you can access our FREE Skills for Life Programmes!
SERCO Restart
The SERCO Restart scheme is a project commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and gives Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 9 months enhanced, bespoke support to find work.
We provide support to individuals on Anglesey in the Intensive Work Search Regime (IWSR) and are committed to understanding the personal circumstances, goals, and aspirations of each participant, to help break down barriers and move forward and find sustainable and secure work.
Through the SERCO scheme we can help in the following ways:
Dedicated 1:1 support from employment mentors
Access to training and qualifications
Advise on debt & money management issues
Build confidence and skills
Prepare CV’s and interview techniques
Support mental and physical health conditions
Improve job search results
Find and secure sustainable employment
Communities for Work Plus (C4W+)
Communities for work Plus is an initiative to provide intensive employment advice and mentoring that helps participants overcome barriers and secure employment.
As the Communities for Work Plus provider for Anglesey, Mon CF works with people from across the island to improve their employability and prospects.
The project enables us to provide everyone we work with a dedicated work mentor who is readily available and will maintain regular contact to ensure the best results are achieved.
Communities for Work Plus provides the support to help build confidence, gain work experience, learn new skills, or re-write an individual's CV.
Shared Prosperity Fund:
The Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) is linked to the UK governments Levelling Up agenda and is part of their mission to level up the whole of the United Kingdom.
It is about improving people's pride in the places they live, through initiatives and projects that improve communities and overcome the deep-seated geographical inequalities facing some parts of the country.
The SPF succeed the old EU structural funds, and the money goes directly to local places across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Levelling up fund
The Levelling Up Find is an initiative lead by the UK Government to provide opportunities to more people across the United Kingdom.
The flagship scheme backs projects across the country with a pledge of £4.8 billion worth of investments to help more areas Level Up.
The funding is available for projects that create opportunities in one of the following ways:
Improving jobs, pay and living standards in an area.
Making streets safer.
Protecting the health and wellbeing of people.
Investing in high streets and town centres.
Improving local transport options.
Vacant Property Project
The Môn CF element of the Levelling Up Fund aims to transform our town centre through the Vacant Property Programme.
The project will see Môn CF acquire properties in the town centre of Holyhead and refurbish them to a suitable standard. Creating affordable business premises for local people and organisations to use.

People’s Health Trust
The People’s Health Trust (PHT) is a project addressing health inequalities across the United Kingdom.
Health inequality takes many forms and the PHT have funder over 3,000 local projects.
The PHT helps fund a few of our projects, including Holyhead’s Local Conversations, The Cybi Events Group, and the Local Conversations Steering Group.

Every business that comes to Môn CF gets a business mentor to provide guidance to help your venture succeed.
Our business mentorship programmes help guide you through the world of business. With hands-on support in all areas of business, from writing business plans to implementing effective policies and procedures, our team is here to help you.
The project will see Môn CF acquire properties in the town centre of Holyhead and refurbish them to a suitable standard. Creating affordable business premises for local people and organisations to use.
Community Projects and Facilities
The Cybi Events Group
A community-led group which meets to discuss, plan, and organise free activities in Holyhead. Past events include a Christmas Ice Rink, a Community Clean-Up Day, and an Open-Air Cinema. The group is always looking for new volunteers who want to take part and provide ideas and skills to help make things happen.
Community Allotmant
Have a passion for gardening and do not have the space? Want to learn more about the outdoors in a communal space with plenty of support? Join our community allotment project where we are transforming the empty spaces around us into greener areas the community can enjoy.
Milbank Community Centre
Môn CF manages and maintains the Millbank community centre. The space is available to the local community to rent out for various purposes including parties, clubs, meetings, and much more. The centre has been completely refurbished and now includes two large meeting rooms, two small offices, a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, and facilities making it an ideal space for almost any purpose.
Local Conversation Steering Group
The Local Conversations Steering Group is made up of residents who have come together to steer projects in the Holyhead area. The projects include the Youth Pod, the Cybi Events Group, and the Community Chest Grants Panel.
Knit & Natter
Knit & Natter sessions is a community project which aims to combat loneliness and isolation from happening in our community. Our aim is to bring people together in a social space that is warm and welcoming.
