Part Time Deputy Warden
£12.71 per hour
We are seeking a Part-Time Deputy Warden to join Bodowyr Caravan Site for the 2027 season. The successful candidate will be appointed following the recruitment process and is expected to begin the role on 1 March 2027, coinciding with the start of the new operating season.
As Part-Time Deputy Warden, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site, providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and supporting the safe and efficient running of the park.
Job Overview
Bodowyr Caravan Site is a small, friendly and well‑maintained park set in the peaceful Anglesey countryside. Known for its clean facilities, spacious pitches and welcoming atmosphere, the site attracts returning guests year after year. We offer a relaxed environment with a strong focus on customer service, high standards of cleanliness and well‑kept grounds. Popular with families as well as touring visitors and storage customers, our team takes pride in creating a calm, enjoyable stay for everyone who visits.
Accommodation Requirement
You must have your own caravan or motorhome. A private pitch (including electricity) is provided free of charge for the days you are on duty.
Hours & Pay
18 hours per week over 2 days (Wednesday & Thursday).
To cover Reception hours: 09:00 -18:00.
On‑call phone: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday out of hours (18:00pm-09:00am). *You will be expected to cover the on-call phone for the days you are on duty (the pitch is provided for you on this basis).
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour plus free pitch. (Increases to the 2027 National Minimum Wage in April 2027).
Extras
Extra hours available and Job share (couple) considered for the right candidates.
Optional Saturday morning changeover for the on‑site static (a few hours, as required).
Occasional bank holiday work (only if needed).
Sickness/holiday cover for managers (by arrangement).
Start date: 1st March 2027.
Review: October 2027 for continuation into the following season.
Responsibilities
Welcoming guests with a friendly, positive attitude.
Processing bookings and handling emails (competent computer skills required).
Managing enquiries promptly and efficiently.
Daily cleaning of shower and laundry facilities to a high standard.
Grounds and pitch maintenance (grass/hedge cutting, weeding, basic DIY).
Towing caravans on/off pitches for storage customers.
Ensuring all aspects of health and safety are followed.
Requirements
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Friendly and confident dealing with the public.
Physically capable of outdoor and maintenance tasks.
Comfortable towing caravans (training provided).
Full UK driving licence essential.
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential – full training provided.
Knowledge of caravanning is preferable.
