What is prostate cancer?
Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the prostate gland, a small gland in men that helps produce semen.
It occurs when cells in the prostate begin to grow uncontrollably. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, particularly those over the age of 50.

About the initiative
This joint charity initiative is helping to make life-saving prostate cancer screening more accessible within the community.
By removing financial barriers and encouraging early detection, the scheme aims to raise awareness of prostate health and give more people the opportunity to identify potential concerns at an early stage, when treatment is often most effective.

Why support the project?
When detected early, prostate cancer is often highly treatable, with treatment options including surgery, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, and active monitoring.
Prostate cancer is now one of the most common cancers affecting men. A simple PSA blood test can help identify whether further investigation may be needed.
