We are a Community Anchor Organisation offering employment support, business support and training to local residents of Anglesey and Gwynedd. With offices in Holyhead, Amlwch, Menai Bridge, Bangor (new) and Caernarfon (new) set to open on 19th April 2021, we have a portfolio of circa 1500 clients: 690 individuals and 775 businesses.
Due to lockdown restrictions, the Gwynedd team have been working with clients remotely since the project began on 1st February. The new office based at Suite 4, 30 Dean Street, Bangor is now open for scheduled face to face appointments.
We support individuals that are unemployed and looking to re-enter the labour market. The Employment Support Team provide free access to training, CV writing, job searching, signposting and much more.
Funding which enables Môn CF to support people in Anglesey and Gwynedd has been provided by the WCVA’s Active Inclusion Project, supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government, grants totalling 540K. The Active Inclusion Project will play a large part in boosting Gwynedd’s economy. In 2021 so far, we have created over 76 jobs in the area.
The Business Support Team offers a free recruitment service for local businesses, fully funded paid-work placements and online presence support including website development and content creation. Of the 40 paid-work placements, 3 of these have already been filled with Colin Jones Plastering Ltd., Protec Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic and Rowyn Construction. The placements are fully funded for 16 hours a week for 16 weeks and are exclusive to Môn CF clients. Throughout the placement, both the employer and client are supported to ensure the placement runs seamlessly.
Additionally, we are a registered Kickstart Scheme Gateway and currently have a portfolio of over 50 placements with local companies on Anglesey and are working with Gwynedd businesses to create more opportunities. Becws Môn, DU Construction and the NHS are just some of the businesses we work with.
