Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive field research and surveys within the Menai Strait and surrounding waters.
- Collect, process, and analyze marine biological samples and environmental data.
- Write detailed scientific reports, research papers, and grant proposals.
- Monitor local marine populations and assess the impact of human activities on ecosystems.
- Present findings to stakeholders, environmental agencies, and the local community.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in Marine Biology, Oceanography, or a closely related environmental science.
- Experience conducting field surveys and boat-based research in coastal environments.
- HSE recognized commercial SCUBA diving qualification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS) and GIS mapping tools.
- Excellent written communication skills with a track record of producing scientific reports.
