Responsibilities
- Carry out tree planting, thinning, and felling operations in designated woodland areas.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, brushcutters, and other specialized forestry machinery.
- Clear and maintain forest paths, boundaries, and drainage systems to ensure public safety.
- Assist in wildlife conservation efforts and the protection of natural habitats.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols specific to hazardous outdoor forestry work.
Requirements
- Valid NPTC or Lantra qualifications in Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, and Felling.
- Previous practical experience in commercial forestry, arboriculture, or woodland management.
- A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions.
- First aid certification, ideally with a specific forestry focus (+F).
- A strong commitment to environmental conservation and safe working practices.
