‘Step into Work’ Programme (NHS)
Our NHS Icebreaker will be held monthly as of January 2022
Môn CF are proud to be working in partnership with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) to deliver the ‘Step into Work’ programme. The programme, which lasts around nine months, offers participants a unique opportunity to prepare for a career within the NHS through training, a work placement and support to navigate the health board’s standard recruitment procedures, such as DBS checks and occupational health clearance.
Potential participants are invited to attend a series of ‘Icebreaker’ sessions where they will learn more about the programme and its various routes, including healthcare, domestic, administration and catering. They will then complete a full ‘Orientation’, which comprises a combination of classroom and web-based training. Depending on the route taken, additional training may be offered prior to undertaking a six week work placement within the NHS.
A number of individuals who completed the programme with support from Môn CF and the health board’s Workforce Modernisation Team have gone on to commence careers within BCUHB.
